Welcome to the Norwegian Pollen Database

This database contains information about over 300 published pollen and macrofossil diagrams from Norway. A map of the sites, arranged by chronozone, country, or author, is available. Further details about the more recent pollen data, including reconstructed palaeoclimate, is available from the palaeoBjerknes database. This is a ongoing project: feedback is welcome.

The original card index of sites was compiled by Dagfinn Moe; Cathy Jenks created and expanded an electronic version; Richard Telford designed this web site.
